We can facilitate 6-12 grade students’ learning experiences on your campus or virtually. All experiences involve building and manipulating sound, experimentation, and collecting data and are linked to grade-level math and science standards. Below, you can see our current offerings.
This experience focuses on understanding how speed relates to the harmonic series, partials, and overtones. Students build and alter sound with a bike, and measure and collect data.
This music and math experience focuses on altering the structure of a familiar song, conducting an experiment, collecting data, and presenting findings.

*CA Prop65
This experiences requires students to alter the speed of a spinning disc by altering the ratio to a set of gears. On the disc, students place aluminum chimes to create different hertz (pitches) and determine duration and distance between each sound. This experience involves collecting data.
The Music Puzzles provide students with an introduction to a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), Audacity – it’s free. In this experience, students have the opportunity to create their own “cover” (version) of a familiar song in the public domain with high-quality digital sounds. In addition to math standards, the Music Puzzles focus on executive function, and persistence.
